JASPER
Life Happens
Name: Jasper
Nickname(s): Jas
Gender: Male
Age: 5
Species: Grey Wolf
Eye Color: Green
Pelt Color: White
Physical Description: Jasper is a very large brute with broad shoulders. He stands very tall, exactly thirty one inches at the shoulders. He is sixty nine inches from nose to tail and weighs one hundred and five pounds. Most of his mass is muscle, which if he had no fur would most likely stick out. His muzzle is shorter then most others of his size. Small, round ears adorn his head. Like a typical arctic wolf his ears are shorter to trap his body heat and help to keep himself warm. He eyes are a sharp, bright green color that stands out amongst his white pelt. From his nose to his tail his pelt is pure white. Except for a patch of black that starts just after his shoulders, and sprinkles down into a point over his hips. The fur on the back of his neck is sprinkled with black on the ends of the hairs.
Personality: Jasper is a brute full of energy. He was always a very playful pup and he can still be rather playful. He is outgoing and always wants to know what is going on around him. He is always looking for new friends and to get to know the others he lives with. He enjoys meeting new members and gets along with everyone, well everyone who gets along with him. If someone challenges him he will immediately respond. He is not by any means a timid brute. He can fight with the best of them, using his weight and height to his advantage. He can have quite the temper at times too. You do not want to be on his bad side.
Sadly, the playful part of his personality is rather hidden now, waiting to be brought back out by someone. Until then he has become a calm brute. He doesn't like to play games any more and would rather not get close to anyone. His fears have turned him into a sad and lonely brute. Though he is a very loyal brute and follows his leaders every command. His alphas can trust him with any task, even if that means caring for pups. As calm and sad as he is he can not say no to a pup. He has a soft spot in his heart for them no matter what. And even though he does not want to get close to anyone, he does not like to see a female hurting. He will stand up to any brute that dares to use tooth or claw on a female or pup.
History:
Mother: Nora
Father: Zexion
Brother(s): Sarge & Kane
Sister(s): Naomi
Past Mate(s): Jessa
Offspring: none
Jasper was the first born pup to Zexion and Nora. He had three siblings, two other boys and one sister. Sarge, Kane, and Naomi. They all ggrew up like any normal pups. He had a great life and his parents raised him and his siblings well. As any normal male when he was of age he left his parents. He traveled far and wide, searched for his calling. He wasn’t sure what his calling was, but he hoped that he might find it soon.
And he found it, in Jessa. A beautiful white female that had stolen his heart from the moment he met her. They were so in love and happy. The two belonged to a pack together, and they had to ask the alpha for permission to be mates. The alpha was very demanding and quizzical when Jasper approached him and asked to have Jessa. The alpha made him tell him why he wanted the female, and what made him worthy of being her mate. So Jasper explained how much he loved her and that he would do anything to make her his mate. Jessa then came to the alpha and pleaded as well that she be allowed to be mates with Jasper. Seeing that the two were truly in love, the alpha allowed the pairing.
But it wasn't to last long. What neither of them knew was that Jessa was sick, she had an unknown disease. And only a week after they had gotten their permission from the alpha to mate, she died. It was completely unexpected, she had shown no signs at all. Merely passed away in the middle of the night. With her death brought sadness, and Jasper swore to himself that he would not love again. He would never go through the heart ache that he had when he lost Jessa.
RP Example: Alpha. A position Jasper had never seen himself in, and yet that is what he had become. Vasilia had disappeared without a word, and as beta, he took over the position of leader. But was he really going to be a good leader? He had done a pretty good job so far, keeping the pack together. But he was worried, after all he had never done this before. Luckily he had Akela, his new mate, by his side to help him. She had been around Vas for a long time, so she most likely new how to run a pack. At least he hoped so, because he would need help. He also hoped that the pack would get more members soon, he feared that the other packs around were getting many more then they were. And if they decided to attack, well he could only take on so many wolves. But he had promised Akela that he would protect her, and he would always do his best to.
His auds pricked, listening to the sounds around him. He had left Akela by the dens while he went for a walk around the border's. He wanted to check things out, make sure there wasn't anything or anyone straying around the lands. Besides, he needed to memorize the outline of the lands. His lands. It was weird to think of them as his, no not his. His and Akela's. A smile came to his face as he thought of Akela and how they had gone from hatred, to love. They had connected on a level that was beyond anything he had ever felt. His tail began to wag behind him just thinking about Akela. He stopped and lifted his muzzle towards the sky, letting out a long howl to let her know he was on his way back. His nostrils flared, scenting the air before moving on. He had finished his rounds of the borders and it was time to go back to check on his mate. As he padded back towards the dens he began to wonder, remembering that there had been another female part of the pack before. It had been a while since she had been seen, he hoped she was ok. Or maybe she left the pack like Vas had done.
He was about to start running and then stopped, wondering if he should bring back food. He whined softly, wanting to get back quickly. But he needed to bring something back, he couldn't return without anything. With that in mind he lowered his muzzle to the ground, sniffing around. There had to be something, after all the herds and small prey were beginning to come back. His auds pricked on his head as he wandered around, sniffing for any sign of prey. His fur bristled and he grinned as he caught the scent of deer. He slowed his pace, his paws move gingerly over the ground to make as little noise as possible. His blue orbs narrowed as they searched for the deer, a grin coming to his muzzle.
A small herd, consisting of one buck, a few small doe, and even a few fawns. His claws stretched and his auds pinned back against his head, crouching lower to the ground. His muscles bunched and he waited patiently for the deer to graze closer to him. His lips pulled back over his fangs and he lowered closer to the ground now. Now. He sprang forward, charging towards the small herd of deer. They were certainly quick, all going in different directions. But he was going for the smaller, weaker, fawns. He ran in zig zags and circles, following on the fawns tail. His eyes narrowed as he closed in, springing forward and tackling it to the ground. He tumbled a bit, him and the fawn crumbled together. He growled as he felt a hoof dig into his side, but his jaws snapped quickly. His fangs sank into the lower neck of the fawn and he snapped his head, breaking the neck with ease. Once the neck was broken he dropped the fawn and took a deep breath. His side certainly hurt now, but he couldn't let it bother him. He stood and shook out his pelt, cringing before leaning down and grasping the fawn's neck in his jaws.
He began to drag the fawn through the brush and towards the pack lands. The whole while breathing heavily from the pain in his side. He had to stop a few times to catch his breath, but after what seemed like forever he finally stepped into the sunlight. His auds pricked and his blue orbs fell on Akela laying in the sun. He smiled and lifted the fawn a bit more, carrying it towards her. When he finally got to her he dropped the carcass, but when he dropped it he saw a white hare before her. His head tilted to the side and he looked at Akela, wondering where it had come from. "Where did that come from?" he asked, looking to Akela. His eyes were soft and he couldn't help but smile as he looked at her. He stepped towards her and licked her muzzle affectionately, sitting in front of her now.
