Physical Description: Ice Breaker is a fairly elegant creature. She mainly has lines from northern breeds of wolves, which gives her a naturally thick coat that insulates her both in heat and in cold. She's a little smaller than average females, but isn't slight enough that she's delicate. She's got lean muscle along her body from traveling frequently, though has a thin layer of fat under her coat again due to her lineage.
Her legs are thick enough to seem proportional to her built body, and a long, feathered tail. Jade's ears are a tad large for her face, but it only gives her a better hearing ability.
Her coat is a mixture of white and blacks. Her eyes are very bright and stand out in a startling contrast to her face and muzzle.
The last noticeable feature is only slightly noticeable- she has scarring on the bottom of her front pads from a forest fire when she was much younger. They've healed over fine, but the skin is tougher and rough from the scar tissue, which is evident when exposed.


Personality: Ice Breaker is a guarded sort of animal, however this is not a permanent condition.
She's an intelligent girl, and uses that to her advantage, rarely doing anything impulsive or foolish. Though still fairly young, she has a wisdom to her that has come from experience and a hefty life.
She typically is very polite, but never becomes too comfortable with any strange animal too quickly. Ice Breaker understands the concept of packs, and prefers to avoid them from her own experience and discomfort with the power of multiple animals.
She prefers to remain alone, though deep down desperately wants the security of others.
Her weakness however is the nighttime, where she cant seem to sit still and wanders aimlessly. She loves how it feels to run in the dark, and becomes rather puppyish under these circumstances.
It's very much a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde scenario.
Once comfortable with surroundings and others, Ice Breaker is a very loving, protective sort of creature. But it's difficult, as mentioned she gets very uncomfortable with the concept of pack hood, and especially subservience.
She has much to learn about socializing, and for the time being prefers her status of loner.

Ice Breaker never knew her father. Her mother was in a rather large northern pack, and for the first year of her life, she was raised there as well. Her father,she was told, had been alpha for a very short time until he was chased off by another male. In that time he had conceived only Ice Breaker, and had not been seen since.
Ice Breaker's mother was a wise female who was gentle and kind, encouraging Jade to be curious and intelligent.

The pack migrated between two lands- a summer and a winter territory- every year for the six generations of pack that had existed. Jade grew with the others as a normal puppy. Her mother taught her to be gracious and wise, never hasty or unfair. She keeps those values even now.

Then, between one and two years of age, there was a drought in their summer territory. They were forced to leave after several miserable weeks with absolutely no water. That resulted in overuse of their winter territory during a very cold season, and a few animals died of starvation.
When they returned to their summer territory some months later, they were astonished to find that the drought had only lessened, not been absolved. with nowhere else to go, they remained there.
One night, due to a lightning storm, a great fire broke out across their summer forest.
Many animals died, including Ice Breaker's mother. Ice Breaker herself escaped, but suffered burns on her front paws from trying to pull others out of the flames.

The pack was reduced to five, from the original twenty three. There were three older females, Ice Breaker, and a young male her age. The females went their own ways, wanting to be adopted into another pack before their breeding potency was up. The male stayed with Ice Breaker for a year, the two of them wandering together and keeping each other company. The male, Kyo, became her brother and her best friend.
When they were three however, he met a female. The two became mates, and although Kyo offered to accept Ice Breaker into his famiy as well, she felt wrong invading the two.
So she took to the world alone, and has been that way ever since. She stays away from packs, after encountering them in her travells. She found that packs were usually not kind to lone wolves- even females.
She does want to return to a family, but has trouble trusting others after the loss of Kyo.
