Black snout plunged back into the carcass at the large males paws. His front legs had blood on them as well as some on his chest, making his white mark look red. So far it had been a good day for this pitch black male. He was wandering through the thick forest when he had come upon a snarling feline. It had been a short battle however, being twice the creatures size and weight. He did receive a few cuts, but it wasn't anything too serious to cause any real damage. Now the feline lay dead at his feet, his fangs sinking into the skin and yanking it from the body. More meat was now exposed as the brute licked his chops clean of the dripping blood. Normally he preferred deer, but he wasn't about to pass up a free meal. After all he wasn't quite sure what kind of other animals were around here. He might not come across a deer anywhere around here. His ears pricked atop his head and he lifted his muzzled, bright orange eyes peering around carefully. After not hearing or seeing anything he lowered his head back down and began to tear into the carcass again.
The male's muscles bunched and he stepped away from the carcass, licking his chops. He had finally eaten his full and now it was time to relax. He stretched his limbs and then sat back on his paws. Glancing down he noticed all the blood covering his legss and frowned. That would certainly not do at all. He lowered his head and began to clean the blood from his legs. His tail tapped lightly against the ground as he groomed himself happily. Once the blood was gone from his legs he grinned happily. He had always liked to keep himself clean. He stood up and shook out his fur, making it fluff more. His muzzle parted as a long yawn escaped his throat, showing off his blood stained fangs. He clamped his jaw shut and then plopped onto the ground, relaxing. His muscles relaxed and he rolled onto his side, stretching out his long limbs. For fall it was a rather nice day out, though the thick forest made it hard for the cold air to get in. The perfect place to relax.

As the stream gurgled and rushed by, a spectator watched from the shadows. Dark blue eyes were wide as she watched, drawing in light from the other side so she could see under the cover of the trees. Blinking swiftly, the silver figure ducked below a thick shrub, the leaves rustling against her fur. Pushing her way out of the forest, the creature looked down at the stream once more. It shone and dazzled in the sunlight, as if teasing any passerby to take a dunk and refresh themselves. Crouching low beside the running water, the wolf stared down into it, ears pricked upward. The fur along her body was several shades of silver and gray and her eyes shone as a dark blue.
Twitching her tail, Gin, as she was called, noticed fish whipping about in the water, racing alongside the current. Her hunger instantly made her freeze and watch for any slow aquamarine animal. She lowered her muzzle closer to the water, watching carefully. A splash sounded beside her cheek and Gin dunked her muzzle into the water, jaws gaping wide. Her fangs met scales and flesh. The wolf stood quickly, pulling her muzzle free from the whispering stream. Taking a step back, she let out a small growl before biting harder into the fish, killing it as her fangs pierced deeper.
Dropping into a sit, Gin's legs slid from under her and she laid down. Her claws grasped the fish from her jaws and she began to gnaw the scales off, exposing the fleshy skin underneath. The fish was small so it didn't take long to eat, but it took the edge off her hunger. Licking her wet muzzle free from any residue, Gin then let out a yawn. She'd have to keep moving despite the fact she wasn't sure where she was actually going. The silver she-wolf stood and shook herself before padding toward the water. Her paws dunked into the flowing stream and carried her across in a few short bounds.
Shaking again, Gin let out a snort and continued on, ears up and nostrils flaring. There was a scent that drifted through the air, one that caught her attention and made her raise her head. She knew that scent from somewhere. Blinking, Gin carried on faster, her paws flashing swiftly over the ground as she tread over dirt and grass. It was the scent of a male wolf. Rave? No, it wasn't him. As much as she loved her brother, she tried to steer clear. His over-protectiveness irked her to no end. This one was more welcoming and caused her to want to investigate. Pausing, she inhaled deeply and blinked. She definitely knew that scent. Then it hit her, causing her eyes to widen. 'Siyah?'

The black male was relaxing comfortably by his kill, his stomach full and round. The sun was so inviting as it peeked through the trees and he didn't think he could be more relaxed. Birds were chirping up in the trees, other creatures scurrying through the woods. All the sounds of the woods that made it home. His ears twitched as he rested on the ground. These lands were unclaimed so he was safe here, at least for now. Unless of coarse some crazed animal came along. But he had already run into a feline so he didn't think he would be finding any other predators nearby. But if there were other wolves around he might find himself with company soon. Wolves had great sense of smell and would probably find the scent of his carcass enticing. Since the lands were unclaimed there was a larger possibility of loners coming around.
That thought alone had ruined his relaxation and made him roll onto his stomach. His black pelt was dirty on the side he had been laying. The male folded his paws in front of him and yawned tiredly. He wasn't only tired but he was feeling rather bored. Being alone all the time was getting to be a really boring thing. He was finally beginning to feel lonely and was missing his sister very much. He really needed a friend, but his only friend had been gone for quite some time. He had no idea where she was or what happened to her, probably found herself a real mate and settled down. But what about him? He had never thought he was going to settle down, or even want to settle down. But here he was thinking these thoughts and wondering when he would find someone who might stick around. Who he might get along with for long enough to be happy.
The black male unfolded his paws and rested his head on them, sighing to himself. It seemed like he was destined to live his life alone. His nostrils flared and he took in a deep breath, but stopped and lifted his head quickly. His ears perked up on his head and he sniffed again at the air. The scent of another wolf wafted through the air to him, causing his tail to tap against the ground. Perhaps he wouldn't be alone for much longer. Even if this newcomer didn't stay long, he wouldn't mind having some company for just a little while. He pushed himself to his feet and shook out his pelt, little pebbles and pieces of dirt flying off his fur. He lifted his muzzle into the air and sniffed again, finding the scent and padding towards it. The closer he got the more familiar the scent seemed to be, but he couldn't pinpoint it exactly. The smell of his kill was mingling in and making it much harder for him to figure out the other scent.
His long legs carried him through the woods quickly, his tail swaying behind his body. He lowered his head a bit closer to the ground, where the scent typically was stronger. His tongue lolled out of his jaws as he padded between trees towards the strange wolf. His bright orange eyes scanned the surrounding area until, finally, they spotted a figure not far off. He lifted his head quickly and headed in the other wolf's direction cautiously. As he got closer, the scent grew stronger and more familiar. His pace slowed and then he came to a stop as he saw the she-wolf just off in the distance. Her bright silver-grey coat stood out among the trees and he tilted his head to the side. "Gin?" he said as he stared at the other wolf. Never in a million years would he have thought that this wolf would be her. But her fur, her scent, he knew that it was her. His tail wagged softly behind his back as he stared at her with a smile. He padded forward his eyes full of excitement as he got closer to the female. "I can't believe it's you" he said, his tail wagging still. He stopped in front of her and looked her over carefully, remembering when he had met her. Besides his sister she was the only one he had actually cared anything about. He was so glad to see her right now, though he wasn't showing it. He had a bit of a problem with showing those kind of emotions, always had.

The male's name seemed to be repeated in her mind. She saw the image of a black wolf with a white splash on his chest and stunning orange eyes. He had been one of the friendlier wolves Gin had come across in her travels as a loner. Most of the time she ran into packlands or into aggressive rogues. Heaven knows that usually didn't go very well. But when she came across Siyah for the first time, something seemed to pick at her interest about him. He wasn't very outspoken but he seemed proper to her. And then of course her brother showed it. It was great meeting with him, but the tension between the males was what had driven Gin out and away in the first place. She couldn't stand the air being tinged and tight with all the tension those two produced.
Slowing her pace down, the silver wolf raised her head up higher, pointing her nose upward to try and catch another bought of his scent. No good. She lowered her head toward the ground and breathed in. Sure enough, it was easier to follow it this way. Mixed into his scent was the stench of a feline and the raw blast of blood. Was that his or the feline's? Taking a deeper breath, Gin found herself feeling relieved when she clarified it had been the cats. He was close by and she knew it.
Coming to a stop, the wolf blinked and looked around. Dark blue eyes scanned the foliage for any breaks that may lead to the one she was trying to find. The wind had shifted and it was hard to catch the scent now. Disappointment was starting to grow heavy on her shoulders as she realized she could hardly smell Siyah except for minor traces. Twitching her tail with agitation, Gin began looking around once more, but this time she took her time, examining every area she could before moving onto the next.
A sound was made. The she-wolf's head whipped around as she heard grass sway and leaves shudder. Something was close by. Was it Siyah? Had he scented her too? Blinking blue eyes, she glanced around. Sure enough, there was a voice. His voice to be exact; it was saying her name. Finally catching the direction, Gin looked toward the black male. He looked as healthy as ever. She felt her tail begin to flick behind her before feeling it wag slowly. Well, he'd found her and it was good to see him.
A rush of happiness came over her and she smiled ever so softly at him. "Siyah," she barked. "It's good to see you again." Gin honestly hadn't expected to see him ever again after she left him and her brother. It was a big world they lived in, so why should she have expected it? But the very sight of him made her feel better. She'd found a friend again and he seemed to hold no ill will towards her for leaving so abruptly. "How've you been? It's been awhile." Gin wasn't very good at starting conversations so suddenly, but at least she made an effort at it. Sitting down, she felt her tail continue to wag, expect it was now tapping gently against the ground. It was good to see him once again.

He couldn't stop his tail from wagging as he stood staring at her. Seeing her again made him feel happy. He had just been thinking that he wanted a friend or someone around, and here she was. If he hadn't believe in fate before, this would certainly make him start believing. The last time he had seen her, her brother suddenly showed up. The other male was aggressive and obviously felt very protective of his sister. Siyah understood how he felt, because he had always felt the same way about Beyaz. But he still didn't like the aggressive way the other male treated him. It caused a lot of tension and had made Gin leave the two. The last thing he had wanted was to make her leave for any reason. She was the only friend he had ever made and it was upsetting when she had disappeared.
His ears twitched and he smiled happily as it was obvious she remembered him. "It's good to see you too" he said as he stood in front of her. He shook out his coat again and then finally sat back on his haunches. His tail wagged over the ground, swishing up dirt. He had to force his tail to stop wagging and lay still at his side. "I have been quite well. How have you been?" he asked. He moved closer to her and nudged her gently with his muzzle. Siyah was so happy to have a friend around. He didn't want to live alone any longer, he wanted company. He didn't know Gin all that well, he hadn't gotten the time to really get to know her. But he did like her, very much so. "Where have you been? What have you been up to?" he asked curiously. He wanted to know her entire story, what she had been up to since they had last seen one another. It was obvious that she was doing good, she certainly looked good.

The day of her departure had been a day fraught with hesitancy and embraced with doubt. Her decision to leave the two males was something she knew she had to do. If she left, so would Rave. Siyah would have no longer been plagued by her insulating kin. With a heavy heart, she departed in the early morning, mentally wishing both he-wolves the best of luck. The sterling canine had left before dawn.
Gin blinked, as if that single action could call her back to the present and away from the past. She was here, sitting with the only loner she had befriended in her almost three year life as a solo being. The other year she had been a pup and had spent it with her mother and brothers during the war. Willing the thoughts away, the silver wolf grinned warmly toward her companion. When he replied, she felt her fur quiver happily. It was nice to know he was pleased to see her. "I've been alright," Gin told him, "though I have missed having others around." It was true. The life of a loner was all that it was said to be; lonesome. With no one to talk to and no one to share her dreams with besides herself, things got somber very fast. What was odd was the fact that Gin never quiet felt this way before she met Siyah. She had been contented with being alone and by herself; her own personal time was something she had found fondness in. Nevertheless, when the she-wolf came across the big, black male known as Siyah, her outlook on being alone seemed to change. She found herself enjoying the company of others rather than being alone.
The last thing she had expected after her escape from the tension was to run into him again. Instinctively, Gin's ears began to swivel around her head as if she listening for any sounds of Rave to suddenly appear like he had with their first meeting. Hearing no such sounds save for Siyah's breathing and her own heart skipping gleefully, the silver wolf raised her chin in contentment. As Siyah nudged her, she returned the friendly gesture with her grin still remaining.
"It feels like I have been everywhere," she huffed, smirking just slightly. Gin had traveled for so long, it had felt like she had almost discovered everything there was to find. Shaking herself while she sat, Gin rolled her shoulders to get comfortable. Looking back at Siyah, the silvered wolf shifted to sit closer to him, tail still swaying over the earth as it wagged. "I've just been wandering, really. Ever since I left you guys, I haven't really done anything special beside just travel. It's a good thing I traveled the way I did," she added, "because I met you again." With eyes beaming with kindness, Gin nudged her muzzle into his shoulder lightly. "What about you?"
